My
first collection of formally recorded gongs:
I completed three gongs--Lift Chi Up Pour Chi Down, Haola Hula, and Wall
Squatting. I am particularly pleased with the wall squatting. All other
exercises are relatively easy to do every day, but the wall squatting was an
exercise in personal discipline. I have never in my life been able to complete
something so physical for 100 days in a row. I am pleased at the increased sense
of self discipline that I gained from this, not to mention the increase in
balance that I am feeling in my body.
I study Flaminco
dancing and just last night I noticed that my sense of balance was significantly
increased as I turned across the floor from one side of the room to the other.
It was so wonderful. In the past my body would fall off the line I was trying to
travel across the floor while spinning. This time, I stayed on the line without
wavering or falling as I had in the past.
I confess that
when I first saw the smiley face chart I thought it was silly and was very
resistant to doing it. It was easy for me to practice every day. Now, I am
grateful and shall use it again for all the more challenging gongs...push pull
33 minutes and the 45 minute tape.
Thank you for
your ingenuity in creating this tool.
