The month was the best thing I have ever done for myself... | |

Now that I have been home for a month and
had a little time to reflect on the trip I want to share with you some
thoughts.
The month was the best thing I have ever
done for myself. My doctors are very pleased with the progress I
made. So far the arm is still doing well. Dr. Velody cut
my blood pressure medication in half today. I have lost a little
over 8 lbs since October and she was happy with that. It is a
challenge now that I am back working nights but I am still trying to
eat healthy. It would be easier if I had Sing to cook for me.
When I got my hair cut Maria said it looked darker and asked me if I
had put color on it. I find that I am less stressed at work and
do not allow anyone to run over me, even physicians. The
choir director noticed that my singing is improving and my voice is
stronger . I am singing from Dantien now. It makes a
difference as I can hold difficult notes longer. I practice the
squats using affirmations for each of the muscle groups. I think
it is better when I use the common names for the groups rather than
the medical terms. Rosa loves 6 Directions La Chi and does not
want to do anything else. She has asthma and sometimes has
difficulty with other movements. She says 6 directions is like a
prayer to her. My class is making improvement with the
heavy round turning in Dantien. I think one or two of them are
getting the connection occasionally but they are not consistent yet.
I learned so much that I cannot put into words the month I was in
China. Getting the Mind Body Connection with Dantien and Chi was
the most significant for me. Things that I had almost gotten in
the past clicked into place and remain with me not that I a m back.
As always time to practice is a challenge. I was able to devote
my entire time and energy to learning chilel while in China. I
do not think I could have had that intense training any place in the
world. Especially for the price. It was a wonderful
opportunity to learn something of the Chinese culture and philosophy.
I hope many of your students take advantage of it.
Much love and Chi

A sleeping finger comes back to life... |
Dear Luke I must share Rosa's healing story.
She has had a finger that she could not move for years. Yesterday we did
the 6 directions La Chi Method and she left to go to work . The finger
was stiff when she left. She got out of her car and started inside when
she felt the finger pop. She looked at at and was surprised when she
moved it. She can still move it quite well this morning. She said
to me,"Do you think it could be the EXercise?" She was
referring to 6 directions. I told her I think so. She is very
happy. She has been practicing with me about a year now. Her
favorite is 6 Directions because she has Asthma quite badly and does not like
the more strenuous movements. I have convinced her that we need to
alternate practices but with those results one can give a big vote of
confidence to 6 Directions.
As for me I have a new improvement also. I
am not sure just when it happened but I just noticed it yesterday. I had
a large brown spot on my face that was caused by sun damage. It is gone
completely. I really don't know when it left but it certainly does my
female vanity good.
